Here is the latest and greatest information.
We have signed a contract with the Hampton Inn & Suites New Orleans Convention Center
to host our 2012 reunion. We currently have a block of 60 rooms reserved from 9/6 – 9/9 and 10 rooms reserved for the 5th.
NOTE : As of October 27, 2011, 10 additional rooms available for 5 September 2012.
The following special rates are applicable for the above dates: single-double standard Occupancy of Standard Rooms: $ 80.00 per room per night
single-double suite Occupancy of Standard Rooms: $130.00 per room per night

*There is no additional charge for 3rd and 4th persons in a room; however, there is an additional
charge per night for rollaway beds (limited availability).

Guest room reservations are to be made by individually calling 1-800-292-0653 toll free
or 504- 293-1200 and requesting the group VRC-50 Association Reunion (coded in the reservations computer) and the dates. Reservations can also be made on line at

All reservations must be guaranteed with a major credit card and must be made no later than 8/7/2012.
Any requests received after 8/7/2012 will be handled on a space availability basis only. Remaining guest rooms are automatically released back to the hotel for general resale.

We will be reviewing the reservations in June, July and August and based on our reservation numbers the Hotel reserves the right to decrease the room block.
Sixty days out if less than 80% of the block has been filled, the hotel reserves the right to reduce the remaining block by up to 50%.

If you plan to attend, please make your reservations ASAP to prevent us from losing rooms and other penalty fees that may be applied.

Check-in time is at 3 pm. Check-out time is at 11 am. Every effort will be made to accommodate early arrivals and late departures.
However, requests will be handled on an individual basis and will depend on the hotel’s current availability.

Parking for hotel guests is available at a charge currently of $18 per night (plus tax) by Valet only (in-and-out access).
Ignore the fee listed on the website at registration.
The hotel will provide a complimentary shuttle service to the National World War II D-Day Museum and Cruise Ship Terminal for those that will be joining us on the post reunion cruise.
Each individual will be responsible for the cancellation of their own room at least 72 hours prior to arrival to avoid penalty (first night’s room plus tax charge applied to method of guarantee).

We will be sending out information on our planned reunion activities and a registration form as soon as all the various costs are negotiated.

INFORMATION ON THE POST REUNION CRUISE
We have booked a seven day cruise to the Western Caribbean on the Carnival Conquest following the reunion.
Rates run from $542 - $812 per person depending on cabin/category. Every cabin in our group will get $100 on board credit!
There are 40 cabins on hold so feel free to invite friends and family.
Note – Cruise deposits are refundable until June 10, 2012, so don’t hesitate to sign up now.
